Converting PowerPoint to Google Presentations

The flipped model classroom is gaining some popularity among our classroom teachers.  A couple of my teachers are giving it a try with their 4th grade Social Studies and Science classes.  They ran into trouble with some of the information they were sharing because it was in PowerPoint format.  Some of their students said they were unable to view it because they do not have PowerPoint at home or they were trying to view on an iPad or iPod Touch.

An idea I shared with them is to start converting the PPT files to a Google Presentation.  It is fairly quick and easy to do, plus then we are not placing more burden on the end user to download a viewer or find another way to complete their assignment.  These teachers are also using Edmodo with their class, so Google Drive is a perfect choice for them.

A cheat sheet has been created to walk you through the conversion process.  All you need to have ahead of time is a Google account.  The cheat sheet will walk you through the rest.  Click on the image or the link below to download.  I hope you find this useful in your adventures.
