A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post about a site I found to help find apps for the older versions of iOS. Our district has devices that are still functioning well…we are just having trouble finding apps that will work with them because they cannot be updated to the newer iOS versions. This week @hollydornak, a colleague of mine, shared another site that helps do the same thing! Thanks, Holly! The site is FindOldApps.com and that is exactly what it will help do!
Start off by filling in the fields available to you. You must choose your iOS and Device. You can choose to either fill in the “Category” field, the “App name contains“field, or both…then click the Find button.
Apps will start to populate listing the category they fall in, when it was updated, and a price if applicable. If you find an app you want to learn more about, click on the name of the app.
You will be taken to the iTunes Preview page where you can learn more about the app and determine if it is right for you and your students. If the app sounds like a winner, download it to your device.
